FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENTS

We’ve reached the median of the Indus year. If your offspring don’t require – or not yet, or no longer – your help for their maths homework, you might have forgotten what a median is. The median is the value separating the lower half from the higher half of a data sample. In other words, October is the exact half of the Indus year.

Do not however worry, as many of us are the better half of lucky individuals, the better half of the Indus year is still to come. As our chairladies keep organizing interesting, thought-provoking, fun-filled meetings, our dynamic team of Board members and our dedicated committees’ members are kept busy organizing the next Indus festivities and events.

On the 22nd of November, join us under the stars at Gallops with your other half – better or not  – for our annual event. Our member Sarita Argawal has generously given her time to help us put together a night to remember. On the 29th of November, our Festival of Charities will take place, please do come along and support our charities. Look for more details in the notice board. In December, we will celebrate Christmas with our traditional Christmas morning. In January, our travel committee will take you to the shores of Oman for a trip to remember. Do attend our History, Culture and Tour meeting this month to find out more about this less explored destination. And of course, our picnic and quiz are still to come, but for these you will get more details later.

So get ready for the best half of the Indus year, looking forward to meet you all at meetings this month, and at our Annual Event and Festival of Charities next month.
