FOOD FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN REGION

As our year will soon be coming to an end, Masako and I would like to thank all members for their support and encouraging response to the Cooking Swapshop demonstrations. We hope that you have enjoyed the selection of cuisines during the past year, and would like to end our term by introducing Dr. Ashiq Patel who will be giving a demonstration on food originating from Southern Italy.

Ashiq is a general surgeon with a private practice attached to Prince Aly Khan Hospital for the past 35 years. He is also an accomplished sitar player since the age of six. His passion is to travel all over the globe for different culinary experiences. He would like to share his love for exotic cuisine and demonstrate the following items.

Italian lentil soup, Pasta alla Genovese (pasta with green beans and potatoes in a pesto sauce), Gnudi Amalfitana (spinach and ricotta balls in a tomato sauce) ending with a mouth watering dessert.

Limit: 35. There will be a charge of Rs.100.

For registration, please call either Lata Kotecha  on 20th June, in the morning between 10 am and 12 noon or Gauri Marwah in the afternoon between 1 and 3 pm.
