WHY ART MAKES CITIES HAPPIER, RICHER AND HEALTHIER

What makes Paris the haven of fashion and food? What makes London combine the edginess with its class? How does New York strum its grit with the glitter? And is there a way in which we can explain Mumbai a.k.a Bombay’s sheen (or not)?

We shall trace the development of Bombay as an art city and  its transition into the present Mumbai of Bollywood, advertising and a market for the arts and how you can contribute to making Mumbai into an art city.

Rashmi Dhanwani a cultural researcher and an arts entrepreneur had stints across journalism and media management such as DNA, Breakthrough, NCPA and Clore Leadership. Rashmi, pursued her Masters in Cultural and Creative Industries at King’s College London. Upon her return to India in 2015, Rashmi started an arts organisation The Art X Company where she leads on strategic consultancy and cultural research in South Asia.
