AND ALL IS SAID
A fascinating and honest autobiographical account of the lives of two prominent Indian families, set in the waning years of the Raj, the Indian struggle for independence and the final grasp at holding on to power by the British. Within each family are the patriarchs, who are pro-British, having made their fortunes through them. Their progeny receive an English education, mostly in England and turn fire brands for the cause of India’s freedom.
We have the pleasure of welcoming the author of this book, Mr Zareer Masani, son of Minoo Masani (a politician who impacted the lives of many) and Shakuntala nee Srivastava. His book narrates the true tale of the two families and the distinct cultures that he is caught between, as also the political drama unfolding, globally with WWII and nationally with the struggle for Indian independence
Join us in a not to be missed discussion around this fascinating story, which many of us have lived through and even had the privilege of knowing several of those talked about.
