How are these mediums different for an actor?  Which is better and why?

Indus member Deepika Amin will try to answer this, based on her experience as a theatre, TV and film actor.

Deepika Deshpande - Amin was with the prestigious Theatre  Action Group for six years, acting in plays directed by theatre guru Barry John. Among her colleagues, in those days were young upcoming actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj Bajpayee.
 
She was seen in popular TV serials like Junoon, 9 Malabar Hill, Shyam Benegal series Samvidhaan etc and she won the Best Actress Award for the serial Farmaan directed by Lekh Tandon.

Her film credits include Raanjhanaa and Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania and The Rough Book. Her recent plays Wedding Album and Boiled Beans on Toast by Girish Karnad, directed by Lillete Dubey are staged often at NCPA and Prithvi.
