<p class="font_8"><strong>ART CONSERVATION AS A LEVER FOR DEVELOPMENT</strong></p>
<p class="font_8">This exquisitely illustrated lecture narrates how the author revitalised a dying art tradition in Orissa and employed it as a lever for socio economic development, and how this has impacted the people and the region. The author presents his observations of the artistic, scientific, sociological and economic dynamics of this path breaking project.</p>
<p class="font_8"><strong>Anupam Sah</strong> is an art conservation practitioner, strategist and educator and an expert consultant and trainer to various Indian and international institutions. He works with a systems approach that allows him to network heritage conservation with other sectors. He is the founder director of Anupam Heritage Lab and founder secretary of Himalayan Society for Heritage and Art Conservation.</p>
<p class="font_8">Presently Sah serves as the Head of Art Conservation, Research, and Training at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai.</p>
