CARNATIC VS HINDUSTANI MUSIC

Mala Ramadorai is a person of many interests; the foremost is of course Indian Classical Music. Having started very young at the age of 8 with Carnatic Music it was much later that she changed tracks and plunged into the Hindustani Style.

Now the two styles of Music reside side by side drawing the best from each other!

Passionate about bringing about awareness to Indian culture she conducted series of workshops in Indian Music for a variety of audiences including ‘MusiKi’ (Music for Kids) at NCPA.

Come and hear Mala as she will educate us a little bit about both these styles of music.

She will sing and demonstrate both these styles for us. So even if you are not familiar you will enjoy this meeting.
