SUCHITRA PILLAI – Actress, Singer, Performer

Suchitra Pillai, an electronics engineer, went the showbiz way in 1993 as the lead in a French film Le prix d' Une Femme.

Her Bollywood films include Dil Chahta Hai, Page 3, Fashion etc and 2 Hollywood films -The other side of the Door for 20th century fox and The Valley for which she won best actress at the Milan and Long Island international film festivals.

She features in music videos with Apache Indian, Oasis, Zazie and Bally Sagoo and has sung on albums with international artists like Talvin Singh, French Algerian artist Rachid Taha and also Kula Shaker from the UK. 

On TV she was last seen in Ek Shringaar Swabhimaan, 24 and Beinteha.; and in France on the finale season of TV show Fait pas ci fait pas ca.

Her web series include Romil & Jugal, Made in Heaven on amazon prime and Betaal and Masaba Masaba on Netflix.

An accomplished theatre artiste, she plays the lead roles in Dance Like A Man, Sing India Sing and Wedding Album, August Osage County etc.

Suchitra’s first music album Such is Life released in 2011. Her second album History of Rock and Roll (mixed and mastered at Rockford studios London by Nick Brine) will be out soon.

Her latest track is Tanzanite; a fusion track produced in the UK, releasing there shortly.
