ART OF FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS

Whether you want to gift a bouquet, make an innovate hamper, hang them in pots or create a centrepiece--learn how to pair the right blooms.

Zina Mody entered into the field of floristry about 10 years ago when she saw potential in the flower business in Bombay and went on to establish a successful flower shop called ‘The Bloom Room', on Wodehouse Road, Colaba, Mumbai.  Over the years Zina has built a name for herself with her innovative and beautiful flower arrangements which have been featured in various publications including Vogue, Ideal Homes and Architectural Digest. 

Today she is going to demonstrate how to arrange flowers, whether it’s to create a magnificent centrepiece at home when entertaining or just to enjoy for oneself. She will also enlighten us how to buy flowers when visiting a shop, discuss how to best care for them so our arrangements last longer and share tips she has found useful during her years of tending flowers. 

Along with this, she will discuss the importance of and growing need for sustainability - something she is passionate about, as well as ways to move towards a waste free environment within the flower industry.
