URDU POETRY IN WORDS AND MUSIC

Dr. Navroze Kotwal is a practising Orthodontist at Pedder Road, Mumbai. After doing his B.Sc. and B.D.S. from Bombay University, he got an M.S.D. in Orthodontics from Indiana University, USA. He had addressed Indus on Orthodontics about 30 years ago.

One of his passions is the Urdu language and Urdu poetry, about which he will be talking this time. His Urdu poems have been published in various Urdu and Hindi magazines and newspapers such as Shair, Kitabnuma, Hamari Zaban, Inquilab, Navbharat Times etc.

An album of his Ghazals called Aashiqana, has been composed and sung by the famous Ghazal singer Anup Jalota. Navroze gets invited to various Mushairas to recite his Urdu Ghazals and Nazms.

For our meeting he will recite and play his Ghazals.
