WANT TO BE AN INDUS BUDDY?

Encouraging new Foreign Members to participate more actively in Indus activities we would like to introduce a “Buddy System”.  A Buddy is someone who partners with a new Member during the first months of Membership and beyond if needed or wanted. New Foreign Members are mostly new to the country, overwhelmed by culture, traffic and chaos hence completely lost and stressed. If an experienced Indian Member can help ease the transition during this onboarding process it can benefit not only the new Member but also Indus as a group itself. To a Buddy the new Member is someone to talk to, share knowledge for easier orientation, e.g. the monthly Activity Group Meetings, Events and possibilities for active involvement according to the new Members interest.

We have allocated certain areas in Mumbai where the Buddy and the New Member live. The areas are Powai, Bandra, Worli, Mahalaxmi, Breach Candy, Colaba and Cuffe Parade.

Members who stay in this area or close by can volunteer as a “buddy” please contact:
