GENDER DEPICTION IN FILM

Women through the years of Cinema & its impact on society

Namrata Joshi is an Indian film critic and author based in Mumbai. She was working for Outlook magazine and has now moved onto The Hindu as the Editor. She won the National Film Award for Best Film Critic in 2004. Her book “Reel India, Cinema off the beaten track”, has just been published to much acclaim and adulation.

She is here to speak with us on “The evolution of the portrayal of women in media & entertainment and its potential impact on society.”

Namrata is a renowned thought leader in the space of gender depiction through film and shall provide the much needed insight for this very crucial current affair topic.
