ORIGAMI
Origami (Ori means “folding” and Gami (Kami) means “paper”) is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding and nowadays it is very popular outside Japan, too. You may have seen Paper Crane, which is one of the well known models. A small piece of square origami paper can be transformed into so many different things such as flowers, animals, things to play etc.
Kyoko Koizumi, a Japanese expat, started Origami as a hobby when she came to India. Over 12 years, she has developed her skill and now it is more than just hobby. She also does cross stitching and quilting. She has really talented hands!
She will show us some of her elaborate works and demonstrate how to make some models. Then we will try making a piece together!
To reserve your place, please send an SMS with your name and membership number to Atsue Parisi between 1pm and 6pm on Friday, 10th October.
