FOREIGN TRIP
Oman, an Arabian home from home!
From unspoilt beaches, pristine mountains jutting from the turquoise seas, to slick highways crossing ancient deserts, Oman’s variety of superb natural wonders makes it a destination set apart from all others.
Our 6 day, 5 night trip will begin in beautiful Muscat, capital city of Oman, edged by a scenic waterfront, where we will walk and soak in the atmosphere. An early morning boat ride to visit with dolphins and elusive whales will thrill us all as we play hide and seek over the waves. We will watch the sun setting over the shifting sands of the desert, and then we can settle down to Omani hospitality overlooking the undulating dunes.
Idle in Wadi Bani Khalid’s azure pools to cool off after exploring the medieval cattle market, the 17th century fort of Nizwa, the jewellery souk and armoury. We have also planned a visit to the endangered green turtles nesting area at Ras Al Hadd Turtle Reserve, an intimate glimpse into the life of these turtles.
The date for this trip will be late January 2015, when the weather will be cooler and enjoyable.
Full details of the trip will be posted in the November Newsletter, those interested should contact any of the ladies mentioned below as there will be a limit on available places.
