REVIVING STORY TELLING
Storytelling is a dying art. A group in Pune, is trying to revive the art by holding story telling sessions. The effort has been successful and it has become a popular form of entertainment. These presentations, suitable for small crowds, are not plays but are adaptations of popular tales. The story tellers do not read from a script but they do practice their performances.
Neilum Malgonkar has been telling stories as a hobby for the past three years and performs in Pune regularly. She will tell us 1 or 2 different short stories (time permitting), which will be followed by a discussion and workshop on the art of storytelling. She will give us tips to help us start are own story telling groups.
Neilum has worked for 27 years with organisations like Wipro Ltd., NTT Data Systems, Hallmark Cards and Air India as a HR Consultant.
