MY DRIVE WITh ONE WHEEL.......

ANSHU DORAIRAJ, discovered clay in Hoboken, USA, at Larry Michelotti’s studio and after the initial familiarization with clay, she made a lovely coiled bowl which still holds pride of joy in her house. Soon thereafter she started tossing out dishes, platters, bowls, cups etc. aiming to create individual decoration pieces which instantly became part of dinner table conversations.

Having worked in the Financial services for almost 2 decades, this is her call to Nirvana. After learning the basics with Larry for a couple of years, Anshu has relocated to Mumbai and works out of her own cozy studio. Having participated and conducted many workshops in Mumbai and Delhi, she now simply loves to create beautiful objects with a passion.

She has participated in Chef’s Table events and created signature lines for a few leading restaurant’s, and is currently working with a few marquee names. She has also been commissioned by select homeowners to design murals/ wall pieces for their homes, with one in Singapore and another in Delhi and Mumbai.

All her Tableware range is lead free, food safe, microwave, dishwasher and oven friendly.

Today she will take you on a journey to the world of clay, and narrate the use of FIVE elements of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Space.

Ladies do come to this interesting session to meet and hear the artist in person and get driven into the Potters Wheel through her sensibilities.
