MUSICIAN & COMPOSER AMAVEL PINTO

Today we will have the pleasure of meeting and listening to some interesting and different music by musician and composer guitarist Amavel Pinto.

Amavel teaches classical guitar at the University Eduardo Mondale (UEM) Amavel’s  childhood was influenced by Portuguese culture (teaching of his parents) and African culture (country where he was born and raised) as well as two musical cultures ”fado” and ”marrabenta” , two identities that contributed to his musical formation. Always looking for new musical emotions he found it in Indian classical music, a logical thread connecting the other two cultures and completing a musical journey of more than 25 years leading to creating his own musical style.

He will enthrall the audience with his guitar by playing an eclectic mixture of both classical and instrumental pieces, popular music and many other mesmerizing musical pieces that will allow you to reach your soul through your imagination as well - Candle in the wind ( lyrics by Elton John and Bernie Taupin), The loner (by Gary Moore),  Choro de crianca (Brazilian classic piece) & Depois da dor (Amavel classic composition)

The concert ends with an interactive session with Amaval who will only be too happy to answer any queries put forth by the audience.
