WELFARE OF THE DIFFERENTLY ABLED WOMEN IN INDIA

Today our guest speaker Varsha Kewalramani, will speak about the plight of the differently abled women in India . A brief introduction will be given about the unfortunate situation that the Indian women face in general. Thereafter that plight of a differently abled women will be discussed with reference to the issues they face regarding health, education, employment, marriage and their social stigma. The talk will be concluded by elaborating on ways to improve the scenario of the women through the implementation of various measures by various government and non-government organizations such as setting up NGO’s, spreading awareness, providing accessibility etc., which we can be part of by volunteering at various Non-Government Organizations
