EDUCATED BY TARA WESTOVER

Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, she prepared for the end of the world by stockpiling home-canned peaches and sleeping with her “head-for-the-hills” bag.

The author draws you in to the day to day life of her family at Buck’s Peak. She paints a picture, at times idyllic and at times terrible. This is a powerful and inspiring memoir about a young girl who, kept out of school, leaves her survivalist family and goes on to earn a PhD from Cambridge University

“A dazzling example of what you can achieve if you set your mind to something…an inspirational, truly unique coming-of-age tale”
