WOMEN IN INDIAN HISTORY
Join us for this talk which presents a kaleidoscope of Indian history with a focus on women characters. Using an entertaining mixture of myth, stories, history and fact, Tara helps you lift the veil to catch a glimpse of women who stormed bastions – both literally and figuratively.
Trained as a genetic engineer, Tara Ramaseshan, teaches a course in Indian history & gives talks to adults and children alike from neighborhood libraries to international conferences to forums at Emory University.
She has written 8 children’s books on various historical topics and is often found pottering around being an informal docent at our city’s museums, trailing along on heritage walks, or exploring spice markets.
