CONSERVATION  WITH  A DIFFERNCE

Since 1900 India’s forest cover was destroyed dramatically. The Royal Bengal tiger, estimated at 40000, is today reduced to 3000. Under the guise of development and ever-growing human population, we are now left with little islands of forests- our National Parks.

The ever increasing man animal conflict took away the home of the tiger, the most majestic of animals. Economic development, aimed at improving the life of humans, is in reality undermining its existence. The presence of the Tiger and other wildlife clearly indicates the health of our forests.

Tiger Watch and its sister NGO Prakratik Society has taken up the crusade to bring about a change. Ashutosh Mahadevia founded Tiger Watch along with the great tiger expert Fatehsingh Rathore. He will discuss the crux of the problem - man/animal conflict, and give you a glimpse of the world he loves... the world of the tiger!

Do not miss this opportunity! Current as ever!
