Sneak Peek of the New Domestic Terminal

We have all heard about the new International Terminal T2, but have you also heard about the artwork at the new Domestic Terminal?  The artwork at the terminal is a re-interpretation of the past, present and future of India under six different thematic compositions – India Greets, India Seamless, India Moves, India Elemental, India Global, India’s Silent Sentinel.  We will be able to see the artwork of two of the themes found in the Departures corridors – India Seamless and India Moves – as well as part of another theme in the Arrivals corridors.

India Seamless consists of 4 installations depicting the myths, histories, and popular cultures of the 4 regions of Kashmir, Rajasthan, Bengal, and Tamil Nadu.

The India Moves installation pays homage to the journeys of the body and soul.

Security passes will need to be made that morning, just before the tour, so please bring your photo ID.  The tour will begin when these passes are completed.  Note: the event starts at 10:30, allowing time for the passes to be made (may take up to 30 minutes or so).

We will meet at the MIAL Project Office, Cabin III, next to the Hyatt Regency, Sahar Road, Andheri. Further clarification of the location will be given to those who have registered for the tour. To register for the tour, please SMS your name to Mary Chowdhury at 91670 30816 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st.  Space is limited to 30 people for the tour. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
