THE IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC ON THE ART WORLD.

Farah Siddiqui is an art advisor and specialist in contemporary art from Southeast Asia. She has worked on projects with Forbes, The Times of India and has curated an exhibition on Raja Ravi Varma for the Piramal Art Foundation in Mumbai.

Under the patronage of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, Siddiqui curated the first edition of Elephant Parade for India.

As we enter the seventh month of an unpredictable year, art continues to play the role of a source of reprieve and solace, but it is yet to be seen if the art market is resilient to challenges posed by COVID-19. Will physical distancing measures challenge a collector’s ability to inspect art works and how long will it be before collectors venture back into galleries? Farah Siddiqui will discuss the present and future of the art world and how it will adjust to a post-corona world.
