LEARNING THE ART OF MI IKIGAI (PAPER FLOWERS)

We at Mi ikigai believe the art of paper flowers can be therapeutic, to see a sheet of paper transform into a flower, that is the magic of handmade!

Mi ikigai, an artisanal paper floral studio, was seeded and nourished by Uurmi Bhatia who set out on a path to share the sense of purpose craft lent in her life. Within a short period of time.

Mi ikigai has successfully established itself as a one-of-it's-kind floral craft haven. All the flowers are designed and created by hand in paper with careful detailing to finesse and durability. These floral arrangements can be used as delicate home accents, unique centre pieces, unconventional photo booths, thoughtful gifts, eye-catching packaging and more. Uurmi is a second generation crafter, who learnt this art from her mother, Indira Shah who conducted hobby classes for more than 30 years herself.

Do join us for a fun session of making recycled paper flowers from newspapers. Hope this session instigates the crafter in you.

Material needed for this session:

  • Glue (fevicol)

  • A paintbrush

  • Newspaper or any light weight paper available, even art sheets will do

  • Scissors

  • A ruler for measurement
