CREATE. CURATE. CONTEMPORARY. CULTURE

This concept is the core of India Circus, a new design label that seeks to introduce modern sensibilities to Indian aesthetic traditions. Mr. Krsna Mehta, founder and executive director of India Circus is a Mumbai-based artist and product designer.

Having studied Surface Design at Parsons and Display Graphics at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, he made his mark in the design world by working with brands like Godrej Interior, Good Earth and The Bombay Store. He will talk to us about the designs he creates, the thought process of design and how his work contextualizes and portrays Indian designs in a contemporary setting.

An interesting aspect may be his idea of “curating” contemporary art events to promote India’s rich cultural heritage.
