INTERNET FOR RURAL INDIA & CHANGING THE RURAL SPACE

Jyotirmoy Chatterji is a young social entrepreneur with 7 years of experience in the rural impact space in India.

He is currently launching a rural internet venture called “Netpar” to provide access to relevant content in regional languages, thereby to create utility of the internet for the next billion. The platform aims to impact 100 million villagers in the next 10 years and thereby create rural India’s most trusted Internet brand.

He started his journey in the social sector in 2010 right out of H.R.College in Mumbai. Till date he has been directly involved with impacting more than 1,00,000+ villagers across 7 states in India through interventions in the domains of energy access, financial inclusion, sanitation and agriculture.

Jyotirmoy serves as the Co-organizer of TEDxGateway, one of Asia’s largest TEDx conferences and Co-President for the United Nations Young Change Makers Conclave.
