THE LIBERATION OF SITA BY VOLGA

A slim book with amazing depth!!!

Volga takes us through incidents of Sita’s life and makes us re-look at our own values and conditioning, both —social and self imposed.

Through Sita and other minor women characters in the epic we see a growth and liberation from norms and restrictions, much before modern day “Women’s Lib” came to exist. Using the mythological character, Sita, and her experiences as examples, the author takes us through an internal journey.

With its powerful narrative, the book opens up new spaces within the old discourse, enabling each of us to review our lives, experiences and relationships afresh.

A strong and fearless re-look at stories from the Ramayan, from a woman’s perspective, helping each woman find her own truth and inspiration. A book sure to appeal to all women!
