WESTERN CLASSICAL MUSIC & MUSIC OF 20th / 21st CENTURY PERIODS

Liyaan Maskati, 17, and Aalia Maskati, 10, both started learning the piano at the age of 4 and a half years. They are both students of Prof. Blossom Mendonca.

Liyaan obtained a Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in Music Performance last year and was awarded a Distinction in the ATCL Diploma of the Trinity College of London earlier this year.

Aalia has completed the Grade 5 Examination in piano of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Both girls gave their first public performance at the “Young Talent Budding Brigade” organised by the Stop Gaps Cultural Academy at the NCPA, Mumbai in August 2014. 

Today, they will introduce us to the different periods of Western Classical Music and play pieces for us from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist and 20th/21st Century periods.

Come to hear these child wonders & encourage them.
