THE SINGING SITAR

Whoever said that “Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music” was absolutely right. For Mr. Chandrashekhar Phanse music is a source of inspiration. He is a Hindustani Classical Sitarist and has performed in India and abroad for the last 25 years.

An ardent believer in the saying, ”Music resonates from within”. He likes to innovate with his sitar and calls it the ‘singing sitar’, which renders popular Bollywood songs and the best of Classical Hindustani Music. He believes in sharing the knowledge and wisdom gained over the past 30 years as a Sitarist

Mr. Phanse has been under the tutelage of the Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan and trained under the able guidance of Kartik Kumar and Pandit V.R. Athawale not to forget the late Pandit Dinkar Kaikini.

So ladies do come to enjoy a morning with the renowned sitar player.

There will be a fee of Rs.100 per member
