FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENTS

Dear Indus Friends,

 

‘Year’send is neither an end nor a beginning but a going onwith all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.’

Wish you all a very Happy New Year.

It’s been a happy & rewarding Indus journey so far and we thank all dear members for being a part and contributing to this enriching and fun year.

 

Our Annual Event at AQABA was a huge success. Many that attended the event, enjoyed wearing the Retro accessories and being photographed. The Venue looked beautiful, Retro music set the mood,  the food was superb and the gifts were many. The Annual Event Committee-Nisha Mehta, Sarita Agarwal together with Sandhya Vora and Nirmala Gidwani put in a tremendous effort to help us make it a fun and rewarding event.

 

We thank you all, Maya, Kaya, Maria, Sheila and many others who participated in different ways to make the Festival of Charities a success. We had  delicious fare at the Gujarati stall, dosa stall,chaat stall, yummy cakes, pastries, khausuey, biryani and lots of other goodies.We of course had tonnes of clothes and Nearly New items. Simone Assomull and team did an excellent job of promoting the event and our special thanks go to Heather Charraudeau and Jiloo Billimoria for spearheading this important event in the Indus Calender.

 

Many thanks to Anupam Anand, Mila Kahlonand Kareena Merchant for organizing the Christmas Coffee morning filled with Happy Christmas songs sung by our Indus choir and enacted by our members and a spread of delicious festive food prepared by our members. A special thanks to Phiroza Muncherjee who offered her beautiful family home for the event.

 

Just around the corner will be our Picnic in the 1stweek of February  followed by the Domestic trip to M.P on the 16th of March, the details of which have already  been printed in December newsletter. Ladies, this promises to be a very exciting trip .We hope to see you in large numbers.

 

We look forward to the New Year which holds a promise of wonderful meetings events and good cheer.
