“THE OTHER SELF”

Seema Kohli, a very well known figure in the art world, reveals her drawings, sculptures, installations and performance through her show ‘THE OTHER SELF’. She has had 20 solo shows in the last 30 years. This show is an ode to the form of energy – each distinctive and with its own unique properties – items from her own belief in the self. Her works reveal a claiming of feminine subjective, an altered concept of feminine sexuality. Here she ventures into her experiential interpretation of morals, faiths or religion through various mediums of art and a performance video.

Seema Kohli’s choice of the Bhagwad Gita as a subject is entirely natural, given her indication towards spirituality, Sufism & Universal harmony. She will take us through her art and end with her film ‘Unending Dance of Light. ‘
