THE FIRST STORYTELLER BY VARUN GWALANI

The first story teller follows the journey of an unnamed traveler, walking a path through a “magical Forest”, which serves as an allegory for a struggle with mental illness.

The traveler encounters great hardships along the way, which mold him into a new person.

The First story teller is in the end a book about the impact stories can have on our lives, and how each and every one of us have our own story.

This young 25-year old author has given a TED talk on mental health and has spoken at mental health and literature events like the Tata Live festival. He has written articles about his struggle with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and is currently teaching English and Creative Writing.
