INDUS INTERNATIONAL DOMESTIC TRIP TO MADHYA PRADESH MARCH 2016

 

 

16 March: Fly from Mumbai to Bhopal. Morning excursion to Sanchi and Udaygiri. Afternoon, local sightseeing in Bhopal. Depart from Mumbai by Jet Airways flight 9W 2625 at 0605 hrs. Arrive in  Bhopal at 0735 hrs. Bhopal is an old city known for its heritage character. Bhopal is also an access point to visit heritage monuments in Sanchi, Udaygiri, Bhimbhetka  and Bhojpur Check into your hotel and immediately depart for a half day excursion to Sanchi (46 kms - 1.5 hrs). Sanchi and its stupas are a major destination on the Buddhist circuit and visited by travelers all round the year. Next visit Udaygiri Caves located 17 kms away from Sanchi. In the afternoon return to Bhopal and, if time permits, explore the city. Visit its mosques (Taj-ul-Masjid, Jama Masjid, Moti Masjid), Laxmi Narayan Temple, Archaeology Museum and Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya. Overnight in Bhopal. Packed snacks / lunch will be provided by the hotel.

 

17 March : Bhimbhetka- Bhojpur - Pachmarhi. Depart for Pachmarhi (200 kms - 5 hrs). Enroute visit Bhimbetka Caves  and Bhojpur Shiva Temple. Continue to Pachmarhi. Pachmarhi (3500+ ft asl) is the only hill station in state of Madhya Pradesh and renowned for its colonial style heritage hotels and pleasant climate all round the year. Overnight at PachmarhI. Packed snacks / lunch will be provided by the hotel.

 

18 March: Sightseeing in and around Pachmarhi. Full day sightseeing to Pandav Caves, Jata Shankar Temple, Christ Church, Bee Falls, Apsara Vihar and Reenchgarh Caves. Evening visit to Sunset Point. Overnight at Pachmarhi.

 

19 March : Jabalpur via Marble Rocks. Proceed to Jabalpur (243 kms - 5 hrs). On arrival, check into your hotel. Later in the evening visit Marble Rocks to view them by moonlight. Marble Rocks is an area near Jabalpur along a river having soft marble on both sides creating a beautiful gorge of about 3 kms in length. Boating is offered on the river for guests to experience Marble Rocks. Overnight at Jabalpur. Packed snacks / lunch will be provided by the hotel.

 

20 March : Bandhavgarh. Proceed to Bandhavgarh (200 kms - 4 hrs). Bandhavgarh National Park is renowned as a park that offers the best tiger sightings and therefore excellent for tiger photography. The park also offers an excellent range of flora and fauna and is good for bird watching in winter. Check into the hotel. Afternoon Jeep Safari in Bandhavgarh. Overnight at Bandhavgarh. Packed snacks / lunch will be provided by the hotel.

 

21 March : Morning and evening jeep safaris in Bandhavgarh. Overnight at Bandhavgarh.

 

22 March : Departure from Jabalpur to Mumbai. After breakfast drive to Jabalpur Airport for departure by Spicejet flight SG 2457 at 1455 hrs.

Transportation:

A/c 18 seater Tempo Traveler from Bhopal to Jabalpur (as per the itinerary) including all transfers, sightseeing, tolls, taxes, parking and driver allowances. (The a/c may have to be switched off in hilly / ghat areas)

The above tour cost excludes:

  • Any airfare ( approx. Rs. 9000 per person subject to availability)

  • Entrance fees to the monuments / museums /parks.

 

Tour Conditions:

1) The costing has been based on a minimum of 15 guests. In case of a change in the number of guests, the costing may have to be revised.

2) All rates and bookings are subject to availability.

 

There will be a limit on the number of members that can travel.
