DECO HERITAGE

Indus, in association with Art Deco Mumbai, strives to expose and educate people about Art Deco structures in the city of Mumbai and its main aim through this initiative is to increase public awareness about the city’s rich and unique architectural Art Deco heritage which is the second largest in the world. In 2012 Mumbai’s Art Deco precinct was nominated to UNESCO as a world heritage site. Such is the significance of the stunning but underrated architecture in our city.

 Let’s enjoy the beautiful Art Deco architecture that our city has to offer by starting the morning with a presentation chronicling its history and creating awareness for advocating its conservation. The presentation is followed by a guided walk highlighting the impact architects from the past have had in the development of the style and the city’s infrastructure.

There will be a charge of Rs.150 per person
