KRISHNA IN PICHWAI AND MINIATURE PAINTINGS
From the poems of Gita Govinda to the modern paintings of Manjit Bawa, Krishna has been the protagonist of many poems, plays and paintings. Dhwani Gudka will show us many visions of Krishna depicted in Indian art through the amazing Kangra miniature paintings, famous Nathdwara Pichwais, South Indian bronzes, modern architecture and of course popular paraphernalia.
Dhwani leads the flagship live auction of Classical Indian Art every December at Saffron art. She particularly enjoys sculptures and miniatures of central India (700 - 1100 AD) and previously worked at Christie’s and CSMV.
Join us for an insightful morning in the buzzing art district of Kala Ghoda!
