ORTHODONTICS TO URDU POETRY(Shayari)

Dr. Navroze Kotwal, well known not only in the field of orthodontics but also in the world of ghazals, will be with us today to talk about the Urdu Zaban (language) and Urdu Shayari. He will be speaking about Urdu and the sheer beauty of Urdu poetry.

He has to his credit a number of Ghazals and Nazams which have been well received and published in well known and highly acclaimed Urdu magazines, Inquilab, Shair Kitabnuma to name just a few.

He is invited to Mushairas and functions to recite his Ghazals and Nazams. One of his most heart wrenching Ghazal is the one he wrote in memory of the victims of the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Shri Anup Jalota was so impressed by his ghazals he immediately agreed to record an album.

He will also recite some of his ghazals for our pleasure, followed by an interactive session with the audience.
