“Why Jewellery?” – Part 2 – “The Exhibition”

Following the ‘Art’ Meeting ‘Why Jewellery’ in March this year,Esther Brinkmann, the Swiss born celebrated jewellery designer, will showcase her new works in the exhibition“Renewable Pleasures: The India Chapter”.

Living and travelling in India for four years was a great inspiration to Esther’s work.  Introducing flower patterns and colour to enrich the simple shapes of rings was possible with the help of a meenakari master (enamel) in Jaipur.  Besides the wearable pieces, the exhibition will also show two video plays which communicate through the image and movement, emotions and ideas which are expressed in Esther’s work. “Making jewellery and wearing jewellery certainly is a renewable pleasure”, says Esther.

The exhibition presenting unique handmade neck pieces, rings and brooches complimented in precious material, started on 28th July 2014 and will run until 23rd August 2014.
