UNRAVELLING THE MYSTERY OF MOSAICS

Aashika and Tanishaa Cunha specialise in hand cut, custom made mosaic murals.

Aashika, a trained fine arts graduate and currently assistant curator at the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation and Tanishaa, a student of design at Goldsmith's London, have resurrected the dying art of hand cut mosaic using vitreous tiles and their immense design strength to create vibrant artworks

They have created murals internationally and locally. One of their newest projects was for the Ala Moana Mall in Honolulu...

"Creating a mosaic is like working on a jigsaw, the pieces fit into each other and the design flows" they say…
