THE FELLOWSHIP

Monday 25th   11.00 a.m. —12.15 p.m.

Residence of  :

Tannaz Commissariat

Today we will all get together at our Fellowship to celebrate the Parsi New Year and to learn more about the Zoroastrian culture, religion, customs and its immense contribution to Mumbai in the past and the present days.

Zoroastrianism is a little known religion which derives its names from its founder Zarathushtra, the Persian prophet, whom the Greeks referred as Zoroaster.   Zoroastrianism also goes by the name Parsiism, a name derived after Parsis, a group of ancient Iranians or Persians, who migrated to India in the 7th century AD. Their descents still reside here and we have several parsis among our Indus members.

Ladies do come along in large numbers for an enlightening interactive talk and presentation by our very own Indus historian Persis Vatcha and then do stay on to enjoy snacks and traditional sweets with a parsi flavour

.

For registration please only SMS or whatsApp Ana Panandiker on 9820412594 on the 6th or 7th September. Please do not call.
