As we await the rains to bring about lush and green surroundings, our entire team this year is raring to go and bring you a fun filled year.

The outgoing team, headed by Sandhya and Selma, has delivered a fabulous year and we thank them for all their efforts and enthusiasm. We would like to thank the Nominating Committee for entrusting us with the opportunity to lead Indus International this 51st year.

Our motto this year is “EMPOWERING FRIENDSHIPS.” We look to nourish and nurture our Indus tree of friends and strengthen her roots. We would like to encourage all to care for our environment and Go Green as much as is possible.

A big thank you to Ayesha Soonawalla for designing the logo for our newsletter cover. She has subtly incorporated our motto along with other elements in this Indus-sthree (Indus Woman). Here’s a little brainteaser for all members. If you can decipher the main elements of the logo, please send us, Maya & Ana, an email and you may win a prize!

This year we have 13 new members, some who have already taken positions on the executive committee. Please make all welcome when you meet them at meetings. We still need one foreign member to come forward and join us on this committee as a Performing Arts Chairlady and help us all to foster good relations!

We look to your support as we move forward in this 51st year with a resolve to refresh and innovate our many traditions, always keeping the Indus ethos in mind.
