FABRIC PAINTING WITH CHATURA SAMARTH

Having grown up in a household of movie makers, actresses and directors, our guest speaker this morning found her passion in painting. Chatura, daughter of Shobhna Samarth and sister of the late actress Nutan, has many artistic talents and can often be found working on commissions, particularly oils on canvas.

Chatura has honed her skills in fabric painting over many year and has recently exhibited her work in Vienna. We are delighted to welcome her to demonstrate this age-old tradition in India of painting on cloth.

Chatura has created outstanding works on sarees, dupattas and even murals. So let’s experience the art through the eyes of the creator and share with Chatura in the colours of life through a paintbrush.
