A Meat Puppet Company Performance

Written and directed by The Drama School of Mumbai alumni Saudamini Kalra and performed by Samridhi Dewan and Archana Patel Nandi, this 35 minute satirical laugh riot, humorously highlights all the kinds of pressures and expectations that the 21st Century woman assumes and is subtly pressurized to live up to by films, TV and other media.

The two protagonists of the play are sophisticated young urban women who are “educated”  “independent” and “liberated”, or so they claim. But in fact are just two women who are so used to carrying the burden of looking good and keeping up appearances that they have themselves lost touch with their true selves.

Winner of Best Play at the Youtheatre Festival 2014 the play is light and mostly humorous and thoroughly enjoyable.
