FASHION: FUTURE PERFECT

Our guest today is hailed as the Gen-next designer. Nikhil Thampi gives Indian fashion a jolt of new-age daring originality and quirky elegance. With his incredible talent and inventive approach, he is the man of the moment. A psychology graduate, Nikhil decided to give fashion designing a shot. His spectacular designs created a huge stir at the Lakme Fashion Week 2011. Appreciation and critical acclaim soon followed and propelled him to launch his label ‘Nikhil Thampi’. 

His designs are frequently featured on the cover pages of top fashion magazines like Harper’s Bazar, Elle, Femina and Vogue. His clientele includes Kalki Koechlin, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Kajol, Vidya Balan, Neha Dhupia, Nargis Fakhri and Kangana Ranaut. 

Nikhil has his own show on Fox Traveller called ‘Style and The City’ which is a sartorial journey through India where he discovers fashion through travel. He was also most recently on India’s First Digital Mentorship Program - ‘The Step Up’.
