The British created BA, BSc, BCom to train clerks… Do we continue to produce clerks? The world around us is changing dramatically and the education system remains static. While we are proud that India has the youngest population in the world, without the right education is it a case of demographic dividend or demographic disaster? 

Our youth are amazing and vibrant. But as an educator and as a parent, what's your role? Your children are the 'digital natives' - born after the Internet, while you were born before the Internet - how will you meet this challenge? It’s time to reimagine and revolutionarise education. Let's discuss how.

Today we have with us Dr. Indu Shahani - Sheriff of Mumbai for 2008/09, an honorary post, providing an opportunity to make a difference within the communities of Mumbai. She is the Principal of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics, which has been awarded the highest grade among colleges in India by the National Accreditation Council.  Dr. Shahani is also a Member of University Grants Commission. This promises to be an extremely informative and interesting meeting and we are privileged to have Dr. Indu Shahani amongst us!
