KASHMIR - A BURNING ISSUE

(WHAT YOU DON’T READ IN THE PRESS)

Lt. Col. D.V. Rajwade, from the 36 (Maratha) Medium Regiment, Artillery, will talk on the responsible role of the Indian Army in Kashmir- the details of which are never read about in the media. He will elaborate on the lives of the Indian soldiers away from their homes for months on end and the sacrifices they make.

The discussion will also include the controversial McMahon line that divides India and China. This Line of Control has been a constant source of irritation in the relationship between two neighbors. What is the reason and is there a solution to this issue.

Lt.Col. D.V. Rajwade is fondly called ”friend of the Indian Army”. Even though he has long retired he continues to help widows of the jawans. He has attended every single regiment day till date no matter where his regiment is posted whether it is in Kargil or Aurangabad.
