YUGANTA: THE END OF AN EPOCH BY IRAWATI KARVE
Irawati Karve’s Yuganta: The End of an Epoch is a critique of the Mahabharata – it is not a retelling of the story, but offers a different perspective on it. Through a collection of critical essays on some of the main characters of the Mahabharata, the author provides an insightful and thought-provoking analysis of the society of that time as well as of the stories of the epic.
Our very own member, Persis Vatcha, will discuss with us, Irawati Karve’s views and analysis of the characters of this great Indian Epic.
