Smita Batra is a talented, versatile personality who is affluent in many languages, including Sanskrit, and the above is her motto which gives her power of focus, detailed planning and thorough implementation in life. She is a merit holder and has received several scholarships and accolades in her school years. She was the Charter president of the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Harbour and then moved to becoming Chairman and part of the District Committee.

Smita recites all 700 verses of The Celestial Song - The Bhagwad Gita and was awarded 'Gita Ratna' by the Gita Ashram. She holds regular classes and lectures at the Rotary and Lions Clubs.

She believes that Life isn't perfect - one encounters many hurricanes, storms and forest fires which lead to sarcasm and aggression taking away our inner peace. Smita also believes in giving, serving and educating. This is where she finds her happiness. She says 'If you look outside - you dream, but if you look inside - you awaken!’
