Today we have with us our very own Mumbai Mulga (boy), Karan Gokani, who is presently making waves in the London Restaurant circuit! A lawyer by profession, but foodie at heart, Karan will share with us his interesting journey from Cambridge to Curry!

In October 2015 Hoppers opened its doors in Soho and there has been no looking back. Londoners loved the delicious Sri Lankan and South Indian flavours, and in just a few years, the group spans three restaurants, in Soho, Marylebone and Kings Cross and several delivery kitchens across London.

Five years on from the opening of Hoppers Soho, an online and in-store retail platform was created and Hoppers Cash & Kari was launched in October 2020. A Sri Lankan ‘corner shop’ for modern times, the Cash & Kari store brings the flavours and spirt of Hoppers offering meal kits, restaurant-blend curry powders, Sri Lankan spices, ready-to-drink cocktails, and Hoppers’ own-brew beers to homes nationwide.

Join us this afternoon as Karan shares with us some delicious recipes and tips, so we can all bring a little bit of Sri Lanka to our tables
